FILM ACTOR'S DEATH
Finished Work in Picture Only Four Days Ago
Mr. William Dewhurst (49), film and stage actor, died at his home in London today. He finished a film on Saturday.
Mr. Dewhurst was at work on Friday in his role as butler in a Jessie Matthews film, "Sailing Along," at Pinewood.
His association with the stage began when he was aged three. He went into films two years ago, when Alfred Hitchcock picked him for the bombmaker in "Sabotage."
Julia Neilson and Fred Terry gave him his first West End part In "The Scarlet Pimpernel." One or his most successful parts on tour was that of the father in "While Parents Sleep."
