Hitchcock's Films
The Paradine Case (1947)
Having travelled by train to Cumbria, Anthony Keane (Gregory Peck) visits Hindley Hall, the Paradine's country house, to interview Andre Latour (Louis Jourdan).
Situated in Langdale Chase, a 6-acre estate close to the shores of Windermere, Langdale Chase Hotel was used for the exteriors of the fictional Hindley Hall. The footage was filmed by a second unit team, using a double for Gregory Peck.
According to author Gary Giblin, Hitchcock had scouted for filming locations in Cumbria during May 1946 with unit manager Fred Ahern.
