Tower Bridge, London

Tower Bridge (built 1886–1894) is a combined bascule and suspension bridge in London which crosses the River Thames. It is close to the Tower of London, from which it takes its name, and has become an iconic symbol of London.

Frenzy (1972)

The opening sequence of Frenzy begins with a helicopter approach to Tower Bridge, filmed on 8th August 1971, followed by a dissolve to a helicopter approach to London County Hall filmed on 28thAugust. According to author Gary Giblin, Hitchcock supervised the helicopter shot from a vantage point on the upper level of one of the bridge's two towers.
