THE FILM WORLD.
NEW PRODUCTIONS.
Nell Gwynn, Mr. Herbert Wilcox's production, which has been successfully shown in America, will be the first picture to be seen at the new Plaza Theatre in Regent Street, when it is opened on Monday week. The British firm, Gainsborough Pictures Limited, is soon to start work on The Lodger, with Mr. Malcolm Keen and Mr. Ivor Novello in the leading parts. Mr. Keen has just finished work on The Mountain Eagle, another British film. She, another British film with an American "star," Miss Betty Blythe, in the leading part, began a season at the Philharmonic Hall yesterday.
At the Capitol this week a new American file, called Three Faces East, is being shown. This is a "spy" story of a sensational kind with Mr. Clive Brook, Mr. Robert Ames, Mr. H. B. Walthall, and Miss Jetta Goudal in the company. In the same programme is another picture, in which Mr. Stephen Donoghue appears, called Knight of the Saddle. The latter production is also being shown at the Tivoli, where Stella Dallas, the American picture, continues its run. When the latter ends its run Mr. Douglas Fairbanks's new picture will be presented at the Tivoli.
