The New Alfred Hitchcock Presents

During the 1980s, there were several revivals of popular television shows, including The Twilight Zone and Alfred Hitchcock Presents.
The Pilot
To test the market, NBC commissioned a feature length television movie based on four episodes from the Alfred Hitchcock Presents series: Incident in a Small Jail, Man from the South, Bang! You're Dead and An Unlocked Window. The television movie premiered on 5th May 1985, from 9pm 11pm EST.
The Series
The format of the revived series was broadly similar to the original series — short half-hour stories with a twist, acted by well-known performers and the all-important bookend appearances by Alfred Hitchcock. Color Systems Technology Ltd were hired to colourise the original Hitchcock sequences so that they wouldn't visually jar with the colour episodes.[1]
After an initial series on NBC, the network dropped the show and it was picked up by the USA Network for a further three seasons before it was eventually cancelled after a total of 76 episodes.
