Introduction
"To Catch a Butterfly" was originally broadcast on 01/Feb/1963 as part of the first season of The Alfred Hitchcock Hour.
Synopsis
Bill and Janet Nelson move into a new home next door to the Standers. Unfortunately, the Standers' son Eddie is a homicidal monster. Eddie kills the Nelsons' dog and then runs a trip wire across the cellar stairs that almost causes Janet to break her neck. Bill knows that Eddie is responsible, but Eddie's father Jack will do nothing. Jack controls his son's life with an iron hand. It is later revealed that Eddie is not the source of the problem but is rather the victim of parental misunderstanding. (TV.com)
