Mr. Alfred Hitchcock, who is one of the best-known film directors in Great Britain, has been appointed supervisor of productions for British International Pictures. Under this appointment he will be entirely responsible for six pictures a year, from the choosing to the editing of the completed film. It is understood that his salary will be £10,000 a year.
Mr. Hitchcock is only 32. When he was 15 he was a junior clerk earning 15s. a week, and at 16 he began work at the Islington Studios.
