Nigel Bruce
Biography
Nigel Bruce (1895–1953), born William Nigel Ernle Bruce, was a British character actor on stage and screen.
He was best known for his portrayal of Dr. Watson in a series of films alongside Basil Rathbone as Sherlock Holmes, as well as for his roles in the Alfred Hitchcock films Rebecca (1940) and Suspicion (1941).
Bruce died from a heart attack in Santa Monica, California, aged 58.
