Monaco, France
Monaco, officially the Principality of Monaco, is a sovereign city-state, located on the French Riviera in Western Europe and bordered by France.
Rainier III, born Rainier Louis Henri Maxence Bertrand Grimaldi (1923-2005), ruled the Principality of Monaco for almost 56 years, making him one of the longest ruling monarchs of the 20th century. He was best known outside of Europe for having married American actress Grace Kelly in April 1956.

To Catch a Thief (1955)
Bertani's Restaurant
Having evaded the police at the start of the film, John Robie catches a bus to Monaco where he pays a visit to the restaurant owned by Bertani.
The "Le Stuff" web site identified the site of the steps as being the south-western corner of the harbour, although the area has been renovated since filming took place. The interiors of the restaurant were filmed on a studio set at Paramount.[1]
The Picnic Scene
During the picnic scene, which was filmed at Beausoleil, Monaco can be seen in the background.
