Mayflower Picture Corporation Limited
The Mayflower Picture Corporation was a British-based film production formed in 1937 by German-born film producer Erich Pommer and British actor Charles Laughton.
The company produced 3 films starring Laughton — Vessel of Wrath (1938), St. Martin's Lane (1938) and Jamaica Inn (1939). Whilst Pommer was visiting America to negotiate US distribution rights for the films, England declared war on Germany and, as a German passport holder, the producer was unable to return to England.
