Madge Ryan
Biography
Madge Ryan was an Australian stage, screen and television actress.
After establishing herself as a stage actress in Sydney, she emigrated to England in 1957 and went on to appear in films such as A Clockwork Orange (1971), Frenzy (1972) and Too Many Chefs (1978).
She died in London in 1994, one day after her 75th birthday.
Her obituary in The Independent praised her theatre work and concluded that, "a streak of mischief or wickedness in a theatrical character adds spice to everybody's evening, and Madge Ryan knew it and often found it where even the experienced playgoer least expected to see it."[1]
