London Palladium, London
The London Palladium is a 2,286 seat West End theatre located off Oxford Street in the City of Westminster. From the roster of stars who have played there and many televised performances, it is arguably the most famous theatre in London and the United Kingdom, especially for musical variety shows.

The 39 Steps (1935)
The finale of The 39 Steps is played out at the London Palladium where Mr. Memory responds to Richard Hannay's demands to know, "What are the thirty-nine steps?"
At the time of filming, the Palladium was famous for "The Crazy Gang" shows and the film shows them performing before Mr. Memory's act.[1]
Much of the footage was filmed on sets at Lime Grove Studios with minimal filming taking place at the Palladium. Shots from the stage showing a full-house audience were achieved using the Schüfftan process.[2][3]
The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956)
During the restaurant scene, the Draytons recall seeing Jo McKenna (née Conway) perform at the London Palladium.
A slightly more obscure link is that actor Alan Mowbray plays the role of theatrical impresario Val Parnell in the film. From 1955 to 1967, Parnell hosted the ATV television series Sunday Night at the London Palladium.[4]
