John Ferren
Biography
John Ferren (1905-1970) was an American painter who specialised in abstract expressionism.
Ferren worked on two Alfred Hitchcock films in the 1950s.
The Trouble with Harry (1955)
Ferren was responsible for Sam Marlowe's paintings and drawings.
Vertigo (1958)
Ferren designed the Scottie's nightmare sequence which precedes his nervous breakdown, as well as the "Portrait of Carlotta" painting seen in the film.
