"JUNO AND THE PAYCOCK" AT THE KINEMA PALACE.

Those who have not yet seen "Dark Red Roses" should take ad vantage of the last opportunities today (Saturday).

An all-talkie version of Sean O'Casey's famous Irish play, "Juno and the Paycock" has been booked for the whole of next week. A tragi-comedy of Irish life which reaches the highest pinnacle of dramatic intensity, it is in every way a poignant and unforgettable production. Perfectly characterised, hilarious in its comedy, touching in its emotion, brilliant in its dialogue, rich in humanity, and greatly impressive in its tragic crescendo, it is in a class of its own. A triumph for the director, Mr. Alfred Hitchcock, it has the whimsical sentiment of Barrie, the grandeur of Shakespearean tragedy and the irony of Moliere. Ranking amongst the screen masterpieces of the world, it is an unusually satisfying entertainment, totally irresistible and typically Irish. Remarkably well acted, "Juno and the Paycock" features Sara Allgood, Edward Chapman, Maire O'Neil, Sidney Morgan, John Laurie, Kathleen O'Regan, and John Longden, all of whom give wonderful performances in this story of Dublin during that period of recent Irish history when the Free Staters and the Die Hards fought each other after fighting together; when ambushing and internecine slaying were a daily occurrence.

"Juno and the Paycock" will be supported by the usual short features.
