Francis Poulenc
Biography
Francis Jean Marcel Poulenc (1899-1963) was a French composer who was a member of "Les Six". He was the composer (uncredited) of Perpetual Motion Nr. 1 used in Hitchcock's Rope (1948). Poulenc made a concert tour of the U.S. in 1948. He was openly gay, but had a number of relationships with women, and reportedly had a daughter, Marie-Ange, by one of his women friends.
