Kauffer's titles for 'The Lodger'
Edward McKnight Kauffer was an American-born artist noted for his avant garde graphic design and poster art, especially in Britain.
During the summer of 1926, Kauffer was commissioned by Ivor Montagu to design the "sinister" opening titles for Alfred Hitchcock's The Lodger.[1]
