Film Director Alfred Hitchcock was reported "vanished" on his way to Singapore. Associates said they expected him to arrive in Calcutta by air Saturday, but had not heard from him. Hitchcock's daughter, Pat, said in Hollywood she could not explain the apparent disappearance.
