Although the exterior of the fictional Bijou Cinema, and the surrounding area, were a studio lot creation — reportedly constructed in a field in Northolt, northwest London — the letter Verloc writes gives the Bijou's address as "Plouthorp Road, SE5", which places it somewhere in the Camberwell district of London.[1]
