Wrong House: The Architecture of Alfred Hitchcock
The Wrong House: The Architecture of Alfred Hitchcock, by Steven Jacobs, 010 Publishers, PB, 344pp, pounds 21
Hitchcock's use of architectural motifs and depiction of architecture on screen are explored in this book about his early work as a set designer and his later work as a film director. Including plans of buildings featured in the films plus still shots, the architecture created for each film is discussed, as well as the use of actual buildings such as British Museum or the Golden Gate Bridge for key scenes.
