Nine more Hitchcocks to be re-released
Last year's successful theatrical reissue of five of director Alfred Hitchcock's films, which grossed more than $17 million, has spawned more.
Universal Pictures is re-releasing the remaining nine Hitchcock films in its library in newly restored prints.
The films, to be released later this year, have been seen on TV before, but not in a movie theater since Hitchcock died four years ago.
Universal is banking $600,000 to restore and cast new prints of "Saboteur," "Shadow of a Doubt," "Psycho," "The Birds," "Marnie," "Torn Curtain," "Topaz," "Frenzy" and "Family Plot."
The total package of 14 films is expected to be playing double-bill engagements across the country before Christmas.
