Bodega Bay, California

Bodega Bay is a town, and US census-designated place in Sonoma County, California, United States. The population was 1,423 at the 2000 census. The town is on the eastern side of Bodega Harbor, an inlet of Bodega Bay on the Pacific coast.
The separate town of Bodega is situated several miles inland to the east.

The Birds (1963)
Bodega Bay and nearby Bodega were used as primary filming locations for The Birds (1963). Careful editing and matte paintings were used to give the illusion that the entire film was shot only in Bodega Bay. Specific locations in the towns included:
- Potter School House on Bodega Lane, Bodega
- Tides Wharf Restaurant
- West Side Road — the Brenner Ranch
