Bel Air is an affluent neighborhood in Westside, Los Angeles, California.
Shortly after they moved to America, Alfred Hitchcock and his family began renting 609 St. Cloud Road from actress Carole Lombard in October 1939. After Lombard's sudden and unexpected death in January 1942, Alma began looking for a permanent property for the family.
The Hitchcocks moved to a newly built 7-bedroomed property at 10957 Bellagio Road in mid-1942, where they lived until their deaths in the 1980s.
